Welcome to our lovely Barbados home ‘Tickety Blue’ in the Parish of St James; on the West Coast, the coast of incredible sunsets, sometimes known as the Gold Coast or the Platinum Coast. This three en-suite bedroom property is in a beautifully maintained private secure gated community just minutes from the powdery white-sandy beaches, just North of Holetown.
Check out the famous Royal Fairmont Hotel & Glitter Bay development; we are just across the road from these historic St James’ locations. The Colony Club Hotel & Heron Bay are just South along the beach. Further along is Mango Bay, then Holetown together with the luxury Lime Grove Shopping Centre & the town’s incredible restaurants, bars & designer shops; then it’s onto the acclaimed Tides Restaurant & a few name drops later Sandy Lane. To the North you have JuJu’s Beach Bar & the Lone Star Restaurant…. Now, you’ve got your film set bearings you’ll realise it’s all about ‘Location, Location, Location!’ Oh yes & we’re throwing in membership for the renowned Royal Fairmont Hotel Beach Club for your stay!
Our house ‘Tickety Blue’ is a relaxing, romantic, private, well appointed holiday, rest or work location. Modern, fresh, open plan kitchen, dining & living room areas lead through to a private patio terrace & private plunge pool area; perfect for outside dining, seating, entertaining or just ‘liming’ or chilling! Terrace dining table & chairs for relaxed breakfasts or brunches, lazy lunches & evening meals. Ceiling fans, rattan chairs & sofa for sundowners or pre dinner drinks. Webber BBQ, sun loungers, indigenous plants, a pleasing water feature & ambient garden lighting further enhance.
The kitchen is well serviced with modern electric cooker, hob, microwave, granite work tops, dish washer, fridge freezer, washing machine & a utility room c/w spin drier. Filter coffee maker, liquidiser, kettle, toaster, wine glasses together with dining & cooking utensils are all provided.
The lounge area has three large settees & cable tv for entertainment & film; for that relaxed evening. An indoor dining area further compliments this space; dining table & chairs together with Champagne bucket enhance that tranquil evening of cherished moments & memories.
All these areas are serviced by modern air conditioning &/or efficient ceiling fans. There’s a downstairs ‘restroom’ & in the little storeroom under the stairs there are beach deck chairs, tennis racquets for the community tennis court & some holiday home stuff. Please note that this property has fast fibre broad band servicing the whole house!
Now, as we climb the stairway you will notice the incredible height of the ceilings; ambient & stylish; a practical & historic way of keeping things cool. Then the bedrooms… there’s a pattern of comfort, balconies, air conditioning, en-suite restrooms, fibre Wi-Fi & simple everyday requirements. At the top of the stairway we have the Guest Second Bedroom. A Queen Size Bed, French windows leading onto a private balcony; modern fan & air conditioning keeps the Guest Second Bedroom ambient. A fitted wardrobe complete with an en-suite single basin restroom with walk in shower, bath towels, apothecary jars, hair dryer & beach towels.
Along the hallway landing to the Master Bedroom with an American King Size bed, French windows lead onto a private balcony; modern fan & air conditioning keeps your Master Bedroom at your temperature of choice. A fitted wardrobe walkway c/w ironing board & iron, leads into an en-suite double basin restroom with walk in shower, bath towels, apothecary jars, hair dryer & beach towels.
The Guest First Bedroom is on the opposite side of the hallway landing. A Queen Size Bed, again French windows leading onto a private balcony; modern fan & air conditioning keeps the Guest First Bedroom at a temperature of choice. A fitted wardrobe walkway leads into an en-suite single basin restroom with walk in shower, bath towels, apothecary jars, hair dryer & beach towels.
Remember Porters Gate is a gated community located in a prime spot on the West Coast of Barbados, minutes away from amazing beaches. A prime location within walking distance to nearby beaches and restaurants. The Royal Fairmont Hotel Beach Club Membership is at your disposal; sun-loungers & sunshades are available on request. Opulence? You will love all this!
Time away from the beach? There is also a large communal pool on site at Porters Gate. Relax on the sun beds by the pool with a Banks beer or a glass of something? Possibly a rum sour, refreshing coconut, ice cold water or maybe a Planter’s Punch? ‘Anyone for tennis?’ There is a tennis court which we provide rackets and balls to use. There is also a table tennis table in the clubhouse.
