Coming October 2026, Rum Fun Sun at Lantana No. 25 is a one-bedroom boutique tropical retreat on Barbados' beautiful West Coast, currently undergoing a thoughtful refresh ahead of its September 2026 grand reveal.
The transformation is scheduled for completion by the end of September, with bookings open for stays from 1 October 2026. We're keeping some of the refreshed details under wraps until then, with new photography and the completed interiors to be revealed in September.
Located on the first floor at Lantana in Weston, St. James, Rum Fun Sun combines relaxed island living with a convenient West Coast location. Enjoy a private balcony overlooking the swimming pool and tropical surroundings, with glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean beyond and beautiful sunset skies in the evening.
The beach is just a short stroll away, while Holetown and Speightstown, restaurants, shopping, local amenities and public transport are all conveniently accessible.
Whether you're visiting as a couple, travelling with friends or enjoying a small family getaway, Rum Fun Sun offers a comfortable home base from which to experience Barbados.
The Space
Rum Fun Sun is a one-bedroom apartment accommodating a maximum of four guests.
The air-conditioned bedroom features a queen-size bed with bed linens provided. For bookings of three or four guests, rollaway beds are available for the additional guests.
Families travelling with younger children can also request a toddler bed, full-size crib, travel cot or bassinet, subject to availability and advance arrangement.
The apartment features an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area leading directly onto the private balcony.
A fully equipped kitchen provides the convenience of self-catering, whether you're preparing breakfast before heading to the beach, putting together an easy lunch or enjoying a relaxed evening at home.
Beside the kitchen window, a two-seater table creates a cosy breakfast nook and can also double as a convenient workspace for guests who need to stay connected while away.
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and in-unit laundry facilities provide additional home comforts for both short escapes and longer stays.
Private Balcony & Outdoor Living
The private balcony is one of the highlights of Rum Fun Sun and a wonderful place to enjoy the slower rhythm of island life.
Overlooking the swimming pool and tropical surroundings, with ocean glimpses beyond, the balcony features a four-seater table for alfresco dining as well as a separate seating area with two chairs and a smaller table.
Start the day with coffee as the island wakes up, enjoy breakfast outdoors or settle in with a rum punch as the West Coast sky changes colour at sunset.
As darkness falls, listen for the distinctive chorus of Barbados' tiny whistling frogs — one of those wonderfully simple sounds that lets you know you're truly on island time.

Guests have access to Lantana's two communal swimming pools, surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens and greenery.
Enjoy a refreshing morning swim, spend a leisurely afternoon poolside with a good book or cool down after a day exploring Barbados.

Rum Fun Sun is located at Lantana in Weston, St. James, conveniently positioned between Holetown and Speightstown.
One of the pleasures of the location is being able to stroll to the nearby beach and enjoy the calm, clear waters of Barbados' West Coast. Nearby Thunder Bay is one of the lovely coastal spots to discover during your stay.
Head south towards Holetown for restaurants, cafés, beach bars, shopping, supermarkets and nightlife, or north towards historic Speightstown for waterfront dining, galleries, local character and a more traditional Barbadian atmosphere.
The wider West Coast offers beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, local rum shops, golf, snorkelling, paddleboarding, sailing and catamaran cruises.
Or simply leave the itinerary behind, find your favourite stretch of beach and enjoy Barbados at your own pace.

Other Things to Note
Rum Fun Sun is located on the first floor and is accessible by stairs only. There is no elevator, so the apartment may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or anyone who may have difficulty using stairs. Luggage assistance can be pre-arranged upon request; please let us know in advance if you would like assistance on arrival or departure.
The apartment forms part of a residential community. Guests are kindly asked to respect the comfort and privacy of neighbouring residents and observe Lantana's community guidelines throughout their stay.
