Master Bedroom Located on the Tourist Belt: Walk to the Beach and the Gap | House in Oistins

This is a shared home with myself and the guest.

Glasstonia is nestled near the fishing town of Oistins. Airy, and comfortable spacious two-bedroom house. The house is fully functional and self-catered. Seven (7) mins stroll through to Dover Beach & 10 mins walk to St. Lawrence Gap. Public transportation to Holetown, Speightstown, Bridgetown, and Airport stops :30secs walk from the house.

As the country opens back up, we have learned how to cope with living with Covid-19 running rampant on our earth. As a vacation rental, we pride ourselves on providing an environment that is open, clean, and sanitized. In addition, all guests have the option to cancel without penalty up to the day of check-in. We no longer have a 3-hour turnaround between guests; we have made extended it to 24 hours between guests, to provide ample time for our cleaners to conduct a deep clean for you and your family's health and safety. This includes all seats in the house from couch to dining table. Every chair has its own chair cover that is cleaned after each rental.

However, our maintenance fee has increased, and we have employed the services of professional laundry to clean and sanitize all linens, chair covers, and towels. That is NOT harsh to the body, nor, smell. It is highly important for us here at Glasstonia that you feel safe and comfortable. You come to Barbados to get away from all the chaos and we recognize that.

We have changed our glass front door to a solid door that allows no contact entry.
However, if you have to interact with our staff, we do require that you wear a mask at all times. We do this because we care about our guests and provide a service that is top-notch. 'Its' more than a rental, it's an experience!!!'

* We provide beach chairs and an umbrella for the sun.
For an additional cost, the following can be arranged for you: Rental Car, additional maid service, and walking tours.

THE HOUSE.
This cozy beautiful elegant renovated house is located in the epicenter of urban living. The ambiance of the property is very lively and active. It’s a great space to hang out and relax with friends or family. Also, it has a very homely feeling. ALL of our WINDOWS are equipped with SCREENS to protect you from mosquitoes and other insects. We have cameras located only on the outside of the house for security. There is a tablet in the hallway for your access to the same cameras for your security and comfort.

It has a roomy front lawn and gallery to relax, as well as two spacious bedrooms with a dimmer in all bedrooms. The bedrooms contain one full and one queen bed. Each bedroom is equipped with TVs that have Netflix, youtube and are capable of casting. We have upgraded our wifi to provide strong signals from the front gate to the back of the property. The is a very airy house and is equipped with many fans and one A/C that cools the living room and dining room. (WE ASK THAT YOU TURN OFF THE A/C WHEN NOT IN USE.) The house has 4 gates, one at the front to ensure secure parking, and another at the entrance to the gallery, to ensure the safety of children within the confines of the house. This can be locked. The last remaining two to ensure safety for you and your family, are at the front and back of the house; both can be locked. At night the house is illuminated with mini solar lights and gets brighter if activated by movement.

The neighborhood is energetically lively during the day and quiet/ peaceful during the night. “Glasstonia” is perfectly nestled in the tourist belt between Oistins and Bridgetown; with Beach and nightlight life. The approximate walking time to Dover Beach is 5 minutes and 10 minutes to St. Lawrence Gap. Public Transportation is directly outside the gate and one-minute walking distance to the bus stop. Local attractions that are under a 10-minute drive by bus or car are Miami Beach, Oistins Fish Fry, St. Lawrence Gap, and most embassies. Bridgetown is approximately under 20 minutes depending on traffic. If you choose to rent a car or two, there is ample secure and private parking for 2 cars.

The house is exceptionally airy and roomy, the kitchen is self-catering which includes all the major utensils need; microwave, etc. If you choose to eat out, there are a plethora of neighborhood restaurants including Le Verandah which is two doors down and Dexters Bar next door.

CHILD(REN) SAFETY
There are three main gates on the property for the safety of your children to play and enjoy in a secure enclosed area. For security, we have sensor lights and cameras on the outside of the property.

WHAT ELSE IS NEARBY?
Elcourt Medical Clinic is two doors down and is open late in the evenings for any emergencies. Massy supermarket in any direction is less than 10 minutes away, the Barbados Museum and Historical Society along with the Garrison are about 15 minutes away by car or bus. Access to the highway is literally 2 minutes away by car. Chefette, which is our fast-food chain, is less than 10 minutes by bus or car in either direction. There are churches and an ice cream parlor about a 2-minute walk from the house and a 24-hour gas station is literally a 2-minute drive and about 6 minutes walk away from the house.

HOUSEKEEPING!
You are responsible for changing the sheets, during your stay. There are additional towels and sheets at your disposal. It is your responsibility to keep the house clean. If you need a housekeeper, that can be arranged, but at an additional charge.

“Glasstonia” has been popular for those who want to thrust and immerse themselves in true Bajan culture. Most come to be close to the beach, nightlife, and restaurants.
