Crystal Springs is one of the most enchanting and luxurious villas on Barbados' Platinum Coast. The elegant old-world ambiance is perfectly blended with modern luxuries on a beautiful lot overlooking the serene Caribbean Sea The 12,000 sq. ft. residence comprises six unique buildings connected by coral stone terraces and pathways offering a wide selection of spaces for privacy and relaxation.
The grand property was built in the 1940's and then redesigned by the famed Oliver Messel in the 1960's and was then restored in 2013. The restoration process involved ensuring that Oliver's signature grand archways, pillars and emphasized outdoor living spaces remained to take advantage of the beautiful views and cooling breezes.
The 10 ensuite bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people. There are two sets of communicating suites and the Tea House features both a king and two twin Murphy beds, ideal for young families. All rooms are light and airy and benefit from large windows to take advantage of the spectacular sea, gully and garden views. Every bedroom has both ceiling fans and air conditioning. The ensuite bathrooms are finshed with imported Italian marble tile, four of which feature open air showers and incredible views of the gully or Caribbean Sea.
The Annex is located adjacent to the main house and suspends over the secluded white sandy cove and gully. Its oceanfront terrace features an intimate bar area and a private stairway leads down tot hebeach. The cove is a delightful spot to sunbathe and enjoy watersports including stand-up paddle boarding, sunfish sailing and snorkeling. The bay has a cordoned-off swimming area to ensure the safety of swimmers. Also included in the rental of Crystal Springs is an 18' speedboat equipped for waterskiing and other activities such as diving lessons and equipment rentals can be arranged.
Crystal Springs features a wide array of areas for guests to enjoy activities such as yoga, swimming in the heated infinity edge pool, taking advantage of the state-of-the-art home theatre or exercising in the fitness centre.
The villa includes a wide array of helpful staff to ensure you have the most relaxing stay including two butlers, cook, assistant cook, boatmaster, housekeepers and laundresses. The property is also secured with guards patrolling from dusk to dawn.
