Summary: If we will ignore an unsatisfactory cooking facilities and old furniture a stay was excellent. Beautiful gardens and excellent location with amazing view of sea and garden compensated a deficiencies in the kitchen.

Summary: What a wonderful place, beautiful garden, lovely sunny second floor balcony with a view of the sunset, direct access to beach for swimming and snorkeling, and a few local restaurants, small grocery and fresh fish all within a short distance. If you are looking for ready access to tourist attractions, be aware that though the island is small, both traffic and road conditions can make travel times much longer than expected. Touring nearby parishes is relatively easy, but farther south is a fair drive. Beautiful island and such friendly people.

Summary: This has been an outstanding experience. The villa is exactly as advertised. It's directly at the beach, very clean and has a lot of positive atmosphere. When you sleep you can hear the ocean.
Eric the housekeeper has been very supportive and kind.
Overall a perfect holiday. We will definitely visit moontown again

Summary: A unique place, beautiful and authentic.
Walking distance from the village where one can find amazing bajan food, fish, and almost everything one needs.
The house is perfect to rest, cook and enjoy snorkelling.
No fancy features but a clean and simple place with a beautiful garden.

Summary: We spent our 40th anniversary here and had a wonderful week. It is literally 15 steps from the house to the water! The beach and the water is absolutely gorgeous! Locals came to the beach every day to swim and we had some nice conversations with them. We explored almost the entire island and had some wonderful food! John, the owner, was very nice and always available if needed. My only disappointment was the exterior of the house. The beautiful white walls that you see are in the pictures are now in desperate need of a paint job. These pictures apparently were made quite some time ago. The inside was clean and comfortable and the view is amazing. The family of green monkeys visited us at the kitchen window one day, which was wonderful! Overall, a great week in Barbados!

Summary: If you are looking to experience a real Bajan holiday then this is definitely the place for you. The house is spacious and has a stunning garden . It is a slightly ragged around the edges very well equiped beachouse . In our opinion right in front of the best beach in Barbados. If you treat the locals politely and with respect they will reward you ten fold with their kindness..We were picked up by Steve Rowe who is a very kind and knowledgeable local ,if you want to see more of the island he is the man for you .We had a great day out with him at Bridgetown Market and he came round the house for dinner a few times, lovely company .Eric the housekeeper made us feel very welcome and couldn`t do enough to help us . Why pay $200 for a fish dinner in a restaurant when you can buy a feast for four for $20 off local fishing legend John Baker. He also came around and cooked it for us which was amazing. If you ask him nicely he might take you out on his boat either fishing or snorkelling .The owner John Richter is a very trustworthy man and will do all to help you before you arrive. In a nutshell if you want to be served drinks by your sunlounger then this is not the place for you . If you want to grill bread fruit on the beach with the locals then this is a little piece of Paradise . We and our two teenage daughters loved every minute of it and hope we have made friends for life. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for this kind of holiday .

Summary: Well, what can I say. Having the waves crashing almost in your bedroom. Turtles, fireflies, monkeys, flying fish and an inquisitive neighbour cat - all without leaving the deck. All the amenities you could need in a vacation rental are there. The privacy lets you feel like you just live there. Bring sunscreen and a swimsuit. Unfortunately, the bathroom needs some help...thus 4 stars. Otherwise, would gladly stay at Wilmar House again should we find ourselves in Barbados in the future.
If you rent a car, don't let the location put you off - it is a small island. Easy to get around.
